Pre-K – Co-Teacher
Mrs. Geckle began her teaching career in 1985. After taking a brief absence to pursue a degree in the culinary arts, Mrs. Geckle realized she missed working with children. When she returned to the field, she ran a family day care for seven years. Yearning to work with a collaborative group of colleagues, Mrs. Geckle returned to the classroom, spending fifteen years at a Towson pre-school before coming to Davenport, where she is one of the lead Pre-K teachers.
Outside of school, Mrs. Geckle enjoys cooking, reading, writing, selling Silpada jewelry, and spending time with friends and family, especially her schnoodle, Riley. Mrs. Geckle is married, with a daughter, K.C., who is in college and following in her mother’s footsteps. Ms. K.C. is becoming a familiar face at Davenport as one of the substitute teachers while she continues to obtain her degree in Sociology .
